Are you tired of not being able to play your favorite local videos on Chromecast? Look no further - the Chrome extension "cast player" has got you covered! With this extension, you can now easily cast and control your MP4 files from your desktop to your Chromecast, all while having the power to play, pause, and more from your mobile device.

Seamless Integration with Chrome and Mobile Devices

Gone are the days of struggling to find a way to play local videos on Chromecast. With the "cast player" extension, all you need to do is simply drop a directory containing your MP4 files (even with subdirectories) or drop a single MP4 file directly into your Chrome browser. It couldn't be easier!

If you prefer to choose your movie directly on Chrome, you can do so effortlessly. Alternatively, you can access the extension's mobile-friendly website, http://cinez.me/p, from your mobile device, giving you full control right in the palm of your hand.

If you're a Chromecast user, this extension is the perfect solution for playing local files with subtitles. All you need to do is cast the Chrome tab, and voilà - your local videos will be playing on your Chromecast with ease.

And if subtitles are a must-have for your movie experience, "cast player" has got you covered. Simply ensure that you have an SRT file with the same name as the movie and located in the same directory, and the subtitles will be displayed seamlessly.

  • Bugfixes in version 0.7.0

It used to work. I just went to the bar and selected CAST and my tab went to my TV. Now nothing is where is was. It wants a file. WTH is going on>?>>>>>

Kostas Petrakis

The only reason I used it, was to cast subtitles to chromecast but there is not even a menu to choose the subtitles. How is supposed to show the subtitles? There is no difference than casting from chrome without it just has a different tab for the video. Nothing else at all.
